The parish registers date from 1583. From the period 1583-1874 there were 1,777 entries in the burials register. From 1650-1862 there were 1,762 baptisms and from 1594-1812 there were 547 marriages. Further work is in progress to complete the transcription of the registers. It can be calculated that there have been at least 2,500 burials in the graveyard.
