The Parochial Church Council and congregation of the parish are committed to worshipping God and to carrying on His work of caring for those who live in the parish, to those who worship in its churches and those who pass through the parish. We believe that the church community must be a place of openness, unity and love.
Our objectives:
- to be a worshipping community which prays for and supports the wider community
- to provide pastoral outreach through pastoral visiting and the offices of baptism, weddings (and, where appropriate wedding blessings) and funerals
- to ensure that the church is a place of quiet and prayer where people can seek the presence of God
- to welcome all people of all ages into the church
- to provide worship, centred on the eucharist, of beauty, warmth, dignity and depth
- to provide people with the opportunity to develop their understanding of the faith
- to support individuals in their own vocations
- to work with all people of good will to improve the quality of life for all in the parish
