SERVICES AT ST PETER’S

From the Rector CHRISTMAS I suspect that Christmas will be especially welcome this year after all the dreary weather and even drearier economic news we have been experiencing. There are several services over Christmas and they are listed on the back page of this Newsletter and are all always very well attended. They range from Carols in Hamsey Church (wrap up warmly and bring a candle!), the Nine Lessons and Carols, the Midnight Mass (a very splendid service) and the Family Communion on Christmas morning ( a very child friendly service lasting about 45 minutes). There should be something to suit most people’s tastes! May God bless you all Derek Bastide
A REMINDER CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2.00 – 4.00 pm Saturday, December 5th Beechwood Hall
NATIVITY PLAY The Sunday Club Nativity Play will take place during the 10.30am service on December 20th in place of the address.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS We shall be decorating the church for Christmas on Saturday, December 19th from 10.30am. Gifts of flowers and greenery to beautify the church will be greatly appreciated and, of course, as much help as possible in decorating the church on the morning.
CHRISTMAS COMMUNION AT HOME Would anyone housebound or unwell who would like the Rector to bring communion at Christmas, please contact him. . ST PETER’S WEDNESDAY GROUP Two Meetings Our first meeting of 2010 is our Pantomime Trip. As always the fabulous Plumpton Panto. Details are below – please let me know as soon as possible if you would like tickets – they go very quickly. For those who would like it there will be a pub supper before the performance Date Wednesday, January 20th 2010 Time 7.30pm Place Dick Whittington, Plumpton Village Hall (£6)
Our second meeting will be the following Wednesday, January 27th in the Church Hall. This will be really fun evening and for women only! Details in the January Newsletter. Please keep this date free.
